Scott Banister, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur who has been an angel investor in Facebook, PayPal, Zappos, Uber and SpaceX, has donated $200,000 to the recreational marijuana legalization effort in Arizona.

While a student at the University of Illinois, Banister co-founded two technology companies, IronPort Systems, which was bought by Cisco Systems, and SubmitIt, which is now a part of Microsoft, according to the Phoenix Business Journal.

Banister has supported other marijuana initiatives in the U.S. and backed the 2016 presidential bid of U.S. Senator Rand Paul, who supports cannabis legalization.
